Weekend Rewind

Happy Monday Morning! I say that because BASEBALL IS BACK! Guess what we did this weekend? Watched baseball!

Friday was a glorious day. Perfect non-February temps. We ate lunch on the deck, got ice cream at 4:45, and grilled chicken for dinner.

Saturday was a bit cooler, but that didn't get us down, because, baseball. It was also GMac's first day without the pacifier. C took the kids to get Starbucks and Tim Horton's while I slept in. We spent the morning getting boxes from Mom and Dad's (they housed some stuff for us while we showed the old house) and Grandma Elsea's bed arrived!

I ran errands as I needed some stuff for the Guest Room/Grandma Elsea's room and paint samples for the kitchen. I was on top of things on Saturday.  Until I realized one of the two paint samples I got wasn't the one I had wanted.  Don't get me wrong, it's what I asked them for, just not the one I intended on getting.  Front Port and Grey Screen are very similar if not the same colors.  Big Chill is much different.  Big Chill is what I meant to get, Front Porch is what I came home with. *Sigh, Rachel.

Monkey went to my parents house for a craft and dinner date with Emmy. She made sure to dress for the special occasion by changing out of her season appropriate long sleeve top and pants into a summer dress with her crucifix necklace.  This girl is a special one.

After biking I turned on the 2017 American League Champion Cleveland Indians. I tell you there is something really romantic about baseball.  It makes everything better. And once it's back it's like it never left. But let me tell you, those months between are hard.

We enjoyed the afternoon with GMac and had Skinny Taste's Teriyaki Grilled Pork Chops with Pineapple Salsa.

The Davidson lending furniture library helped complete the guest room with a night table and quilt.

Sunday was church and lunch and naps and all the regular Sunday stuff.  C made the last box run (we are all moved in!!) and we watched more baseball.

We also got pictures hung in the kids room (valances too, but I don't have pictures of those) so they are all set to go (except for the yet-to-be-unpacked boxes, of course).

Monkey and I ran to Dollar General where generally, nothing is just $1 to get socks for something they are doing at school.  After we left I made her sanitize her hands and had a throw back to last October when I went to Kroger to buy hand sanitizer for the playoff games (because motherhood has made me a Class A Germaphobe).  I will never discard this bottle.

It's my playoff hand sanitizer bottle.  I will keep refilling it and use it forever.  Gosh, I love baseball.

While I'd love to end the post with how much I love baseball (I seriously worry that C worries I love baseball more than I love him...) I have one more pic to share.

As I've mentioned before, Monkey is a huge fan of Kids Baking Championship and I can only take the current season so many times, so I splurged and spent $10 on season two.  Last night we finished that season and had popcorn for a snack. Never give GMac popcorn in a large bowl.  He'll think it's all his.
