Weekend Rewind

I really want to tell you about our weekend, but I'm just not feeling it, but I'm not going to let that stop me, so here we go!

Friday evening we grilled hot dogs and brats and did some back yard exploring!

Saturday was a big day for Monkey as it was the day (evening, really) that she was going to Grandma and Grandpa's house while C and I went out to dinner.  She started asking at 8:00 a.m. how long until we were leaving. At one point I said not until after lunch so at 10:30 she said she was hungry for lunch (because she was ready to go).  After lunch, at 12:45 p.m., while C was getting ready, she stood at the bottom of the stairs and yelled "What is taking you so long, Daddy?" followed by "You're going to miss dinner," and "FORGET ABOUT IT!"

In the amount of time Monkey kept asking to leave, it rained this much:

We dropped off the kids and headed to Polaris.  We spent the day walking around, looking for a new top for me (went with a dress), and grabbed dinner at Molly Woos.

But you know the best part? When we were done with dinner it wasn't late enough to head home, because Monkey was most excited about falling asleep on Grandma and Grandpa's couch, so we went to the Hoover Reservoir.  If you know me, you know that I love dams and container ships. While there were no container ships, the dam did not disappoint.

After church on Sunday I took Monkey to Dollar General to get a $15 pool.  Temps in the mid-80s call for swimming!

We also took a walk to Sanderson and found some very cool (new) walking trails.  GMac through a fit about something.
