It's beginning to look a lot little like Christmas

You guys!

I'm starting to get in the Christmas spirit! It's about time! The Christmas tree is up! Christmas lights are up outside! I even made stove top potpourri Wednesday. There was a trace of snow on the ground this am which should be fun to deal with when we rake leaves today (our tree will not let its leaves go).

I'm sad to announce that there will be no manger scene at the Elseas house this year as I don't have the desire to constantly ask GMac to put the camel and sheep back. Maybe next year I'll have a house with a higher surface.

C and I plan to do our Christmas shopping tomorrow. Our schedules really allow for one shopping (half) day so we plan to get it all done in a matter of hours and then do to dinner.

The past few years I've had to do all of my shopping for C online. I'm hoping to change that this year and get at least one thing (that isn't a stocking-stuffer) from an in-person store.

I finished a good book on Tuesday and had to find another one to read. I have a stack, but it's always hard to settle on one to read after you finish a book.  So I started Before We Were Strangers and wasn't too into it.  So I went back to Furiously Happy (which I'd started but needed to stop because I had a library book I couldn't renew), but then I said "Rachel, read the library book, you own this book, it's not going anywhere," so I went back to the library book, but I just couldn't really get in to it (despite an average 5-star review on amazon), so I went back to Furiously Happy because there are so many books to read that I shouldn't force myself to read once I'm not currently in to (plus I can always get it again from the library).  So I'm reading Furiously Happy right now.

Have a great weekend!
