A post with no pictures (because the only pictures I "took" this weekend were screen shots on facebook to show my mom).

I don't know about you, but our weekend started on Friday (as most weekends do).

Monkey and I made a trip (we took GMac too) to the Dollar Store to get a Minnie Mouse balloon which will provide hours and hours (up to a month based on past experience) of entertainment for just one single dollar.  She was on cloud nine.

We also got a call that Drew was offered a full time, permanent job doing something production related with the scoreboard for the Chicago Bears.  It's been a long time coming and we couldn't be prouder.  Looks like I'm going to need a cubbies* bears hat now.

*You'll have to ask my mother about the cubbies.

I can't remember what we did for dinner Friday night.  We didn't' go anywhere and I don't think we ordered in.  Wait a minute... I made tacos.  Then we went to the store to buy gift cards so that I could call Buy Buy Baby to order a double stroller (because I can't always).

Then we watched baseball because we are now the proud subscribers to MLBtv because as you know, the Cardinals are never on national television.

Saturday morning Monkey woke up repeatedly asking to go to Disney World (that's my girl!).  She carried around her post card all day and kept asking to go.  Our final response was "when GMac is two we'll go."  We also went to the Dollar Store (again) and Hobby Lobby to look for a map for the Monkey so she could see how far away Grandma and Grandpa lived (as well as how much further away Disney World is).  No luck on the map front, but I did get my rings checked.

C found an atlas later in the day and showed Monkey where she lived. She then asked where Disney World was followed by Grandma and Grandpa's, the Dollar Store, and the pool (because a two year old has priorities).

But then I remembered that YouTube exists and pulled up Disney World tours and parades for her to watch.  She was beside herself. "They are waiting for me to come!" she kept saying about the people in the video. And I've had the "Celebrate" parade song stuck in my head ever since.

Saturday evening we went to my parents for Drew's celebratory dinner and joker game (Emily and I won!!). Then it was back home for more baseball and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

We churched on Sunday and had lunch at Wendy's (the Monkeys' home away from home away from home).  Then we napped, and mowed, and didn't grill hamburgers because somethings wrong with the grill, and watched more Kimmy Schmidt.

And now it's Monday again but...
:: our double stroller comes this week.
:: Emily and my dad are going to the UK (yay for them and yay for me as I hope to score some British chick-lit)
:: this weekend's weather is supposed to be marvelous!
