Before I try to start regular posts again (it's been a few weeks, I know) here's what's been up.
The Olympics have been a bit of a Debbie Downer. I blame NBC, Russia, and the face that the only thing thats on in prime time is ice skating. I have yet to watch curling. I think that about covers it.
The house smells loverly as I got lilies on sale at Krogers earlier in the week. Lilies are my fav.
The weather yesterday. Again, loverly. Next week is back to the regular below average temperatures.
This morning I tried the Starbucks Via Mocha that I've had for a while now. Completely gross. Utterly disgusting. Tastes a little like chicken. It makes me sad. Now I need a real mocha to make up for it.
BASEBALL IS BACK NEXT WEEK! Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. you can find me in front of the t.v. watching the Indians first game against the dreadful team from that city in Southern Ohio.
After signing up for a Color Me Rad 5K (poor decision) I started a Couch to 5K program two weeks ago and am already regretting it. Probably doesn't help that I took the 2nd week off.
I'm starting to plan my garden because its never too early (I think I could even start some plants indoors but that's too much work). So far I'm thinking rosemary, cilantro, basil, dill, lettuces, and beans, but I need other suggestions. I'm not allowing myself to do zucchinis because I cannot seem to control them.
Today, for the first time since Ainsley was born, I'm going to the eye doctor because 1) I'm out of contacts, 2) my glasses are 10+ years old and I've been told not to drive with them, and 3) we have great eye coverage.
The Monkey is stringing together words (great step forward!) and waking up once a night screaming (not-so-great step back).
Also Monkey related, we let her play on the filthy playground at the mall last night (a first). She loved the slide (goes down backwards) and didn't love the brown pig - brown because of all of the hands that have been on him, not because he's a big - (Score!).
Swim lessons start next week (for Monkey, not us, ok, really for me). We went to sign up this week and per Monkey's request took a look at the good pool (read: not the pool we'll be in). She was a tad bit tearful when she couldn't go swimming right then and there. That's my girl!
We've got a relaxing weekend planned with the potential for grilling out tonight (provided the grill starts).
Happy Friday!
