Justice has been served!

I got some great news yesterday. Absolutely fantastic news.

For the past two weeks, day in and day out,  a tan, Oldsmobile Regency  has been sitting in front of our apartment. I suspect this is a new occupant of one of the apartments above The Rug.

(via Edmunds, the only place to have a picture of a Regency)

This gal is a horrible parker and will at any time be a good two to three feet over the parking line. We try not to box her in for fear of getting our cars dinged on her way out.

She's a she. I know because I saw her.

The parking in front of our apartment is 2 hours, Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

For two weeks this gal has gone unticketed. After the city posted "Absolutely no parking Sunday, July 17, from 6 am to 5 pm" signs, we thought Sunday was going to be the day.  When we returned from the Cardinals game we were sad to see that the car had remained in the same spot the entire time.

But yesterday afternoon our luck changed when I arrived home to see that justice had been served.

Take a look at that magnificent orange ticket! While it wasn't towed like C and I had been hoping, it'll do.

If everyone got away without getting ticketed, great. But if I have to move my car to the lot to avoid getting a ticket, it's about time, this gal gets what was coming.

I know this isn't going to change her ways (I'm sure her apartment doesn't come with parking spots like ours does), so I'm thinking about starting a pool to see how many tickets this car collects.

Who wants in?

Can you put a parking ticket ticker widget somewhere on your blog so I can quickly check in to see how many tickets are accumulated? It'd help me save some time since I'm pretty busy opening windows on my computer. Thank you.
