redemption

I'm just going to come right out an apologize for my post this morning.  While the clothes were great the post was half hearted (I lost interest) and my readers deserve better than that (if only because I'm sure it's difficult to understand my rambling, nonsensical posts).

I don't have anything exciting to share, but have had a few thoughts during the day that I thought were post worthy.

1. One of the many great things about having a sports team I follow do amazingly well is that they are usually one of the top stories on SportsCenter.  This means after I'm done drying my hair at 7:59 (which is also when I watch the Local on the 8's) I can turn to ESPN knowing that the Buckeyes, assuming they played the night before, are one of the lead stories at 8.  This beats guessing when (and if, if you're following the Cavs or Indians, but who really does anyway?) their game will be highlighted.

2. One of my favorite things about Friday (other an it being the start of the weekend and all the other well known appeals) is People.com's 10 Best Celebrity Quotes This Week.  I'm not going to lie, it's the first thing I check in the mornings.  It's a guaranteed laugh.

3. C's kids had their big Mock Trial competition today. In honor of all of C's hard work we're going to BD's and a movie tonight.  The team went 1 for 2 on the day.  Pretty outstanding for a team that only had about half the prep time as the other teams.  Imagine what we would have done if they advanced! Disneyworld!? Seriously, though, he's super proud of them and they've come a super long way from their first practice and initial questions of "so there isn't a law against that?"

4. I'm a little bummed that we can't go to the Indians/Clippers game this year. We all know it's really just a Clippers/Clippers game since all of our older experienced talent has been traded.  Turns out its at 1:00 p.m. on a Wednesday afternoon.  Who does that?

5. Ina Garten is a conundrum wrapped up in a riddle wrapped up in another conundrum.  Last night she said that her husband, Jeffrey, was the smart one while she was the practical one because she was serving Italian Wedding soup for their 40 anniversary dinner.  She then proceeded to say you could only use homemade chicken stock.  Very practical.  If I were Jeffrey, a former Undersecretary of Commerce for International Trade under Clinton and  the former Dean of the Yale School of Management, jobs that have helped he and Ina live the lavish lifestyle they lead, I would be a little upset that I'm having soup and brownie pie on my 40th wedding anniversary.  Take me to France or at the very least have a private chef come to my home in the Hamptons. Geeesh.

6. I like cheese.  Preferably colby-jack, but any type of cheese really.  And it must be cold.

7. To round out my redemption post and in honor of People.com sharing a never-before-seen picture of Prince William and Prince Harry, I thought I too should share a couple never-before-seen pictures of me and C (had to do individuals because we never seem to get our picture taken together).

How awesome is this picture of C?

And mine? notsomuch.

Now that I've shared these few niblets and photos, I hope that you forgive me. At the very least, check out People's Celeb Quotes, they'll bring a smile to your face and are a great way to start off the weekend.
