Kitchen Utensil Must Have

Three years ago my sister, Emily, studied in England for a semester.  My parents went over to visit and brought me back a potato peeler.  An amazing potato peeler.

The bad news is that I didn't follow washing instructions (I'm slowly learning to take some of these seriously) and washed the lovely pink, Swedish peeler in the dishwasher.  It melted, not too bad, but bad enough that it wouldn't work any more.

I found a replacement at Williams-Sonoma for about $6.

I registered for a old fashioned peeler when we got married, but have only used it a handful of times (when I can't find the good one).

Goodbye old, slips out of your hands peeler.

Hello new, easy to grip peeler.

I love you.

I'd like to mention that the peeler was not the only gift we brought back for her; she also got a nice t-shirt that said "My parents went to Europe and all I got was this peeler".
