out with the old and in with the new

I'm finally getting around to posting about the trip we took over two weeks ago.  Go figure my inspiration would come when I have a million things to do: laundry, cleaning, taking it easy (C's orders so I can kick this sinus infection in the butt).  Ok, maybe that's only three or 12 if you count each room and each load individually.  I'm choosing to count it individually.

Back to our trip.  We ended 2009 and started 2010 with a trip to see Mom and Dad E. to celebrate their 30th anniversary.  We started in Ohio on the 24th and made it to Joplin, MO later that same day.  We then headed to LA on the 27th, embarked for our cruise on the 28th, spent the 29th in Ensenada, Mexico (home of the largest flag on the Baja strip), floated at sea on the 30th, disembarked back in LA on the 31st, flew back to Joplin on the 2nd, and returned home on the 3rd.  Still with me? Good.  If you're not though, I completely understand.  The entire time we were on the trip our bodies were still on EST therefore waking us up at 5:45 every morning very eager to start the day.

Needless to say we were slightly exhausted by the time we got home.  Add to that some unexpected and annoying problems popping up along with a very painful sinus infection and you get two people who didn't get anything done (aside from C bringing me warm wash clothes to put on my head).

Again, back to the trip.  I did omit one little excursion from the pictures I loaded here.  You'll have to check back next week to see our favorite part of the trip.  I should also point out my photography goal for the trip was to have pictures of C and me taken so that come Christmas time 2010 we don't have to have our picture taken at the last minute for our Christmas cards because we didn't have one single picture taken of us with our camera.

Enjoy!
