Blue Ribbon Chocolate Chip Cookies

I finally remembered to document the entire baking process for these cookies.  I made the dough while I was home for lunch today and baked the cookies after by brother's swim meet tonight.  This recipe is a new favorite.
Blue Ribbon Chocolate Chip Cookies
Compliments of my Eastern Hemisphere Mom*
You'll Need:
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
1 c. dark brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Combine ingredients like so....
Place dough on an ungreased cookie sheet (or Silpat/parchment paper for those who don't like to wash cookie sheets).
Bake at 350 for 10-ish minutes.
Pour a large glass of milk and enjoy!
I am watching Confessions of a Shopaholic as I write this.  I'll have to pay whatever late fee Blockbuster has these days (it seems to change every week), but I am determined to see this through.
*I have three moms:  my Real Mom, my Other Mother (Mom's BFF), and my Eastern Hemisphere Mom who took care of us while we were in India (Ohhh, there's a good post).
Addendum: I watched the movie in its entirety.  It's a good thing I did not have high expectations as the movie was nothing like the book (what I remember about it) except for the minor detail of Becks being a shopaholic.  Oh, and the leading boy, Luke Brandon, also had the same name.  Cross your fingers that they don't do a sequel.
