If you have nothing good to write, then write bad/badly/poor/poorly.

I read on twitter the other day that someone was having problems writing (she blogs about real stuff) and I'm finding myself in the same boat. Granted, I wouldn't classify myself as a writer, so much as a babbler. I could just walk away for a while, but I don't like coming to my blog (I don't do it that often) and seeing a month has gone by without a post. Too bad I can't look at laundry, and housework, and sorting baby clothes (that have just been thrown into baskets since GMac was a baby) the same way.

I'm not sure where this is going so maybe I'll share what a typical summer day looks like around here.

I'm uber fortunate to work from home two days a week.  Those days go like this:

6:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m. - The kids awake up, usually GMac first, and mosey into our room.  If it's early enough they go back to sleep.
7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.  - The kids eat breakfast (strawberry oatmeal for Monkey and a waffle for GMac) while get on my computer to see what I need to get done for the day.  I also make a list of what I need to get done that say (normally includes: work tasks, shower, biking, dishes, laundry (which doesn't get done)).
8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - The kids are playing outside (exploring, swinging, playing in the sandbox, fighting) or watching a Mickey Mouse while I'm trying to get a "must get done" item done.  If it's nice enough, we'll take a walk through the neighborhood.
11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Pool Prep/Lunch Time.  Monkey loves taking her lunch to the pool so we've been packing sandwiches and eating once we get there.
12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. - Pool time!
2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Naps, glorious naps.  The kids will nap.  GMac sleeps for about an hour and a half, Monkey is normally good for at least two hours (she's an anomaly, but I'll take it). I finish up my work for the day.
4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. - Play outside and dinner prep while we wait for C to get home.
5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. - We eat somewhere in here.  If we're eating outside (and we normally are) the kids will take two bites before proclaiming they are done and want to go play.
6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. - More outside time, walks to Sanderson, baths if necessary, and picking up toys.
8:30 p.m. - GMac hits the hay.
8:45 p.m. - Monkey goes down (sometimes with Pandora music).
8:45 p.m. - on - normally watching a baseball game or reading.

There you have it.  On days I'm working we normally come home, play for a bit, get dinner, and head to the pool
