I'm not going to be able to get anything done this week.

First and foremost the Indians are in the playoffs (the real playoffs, not the play-in playoffs) with home field advantage against the Red Sox. I gave myself an Indians mani (with sparkly ring finger nails to boot) and continue to wear my Indians necklace.  I cant' find my bracelet which causes superstitious me to be worried. We're going to Cleveland twice this week and once next week (if necessary). Nothing else matters.*

We had a blah of a weekend in terms of eating (as in it was very unhealthy). I've been in a bit of a rut lately. Not wanting to cook anything (because I don't know what to cook), not wanting to bike, not wanting to clean (less than usual), not able to find a good book to read. I really think it's the post summer blues. You people and your obsessions with fall and squash-spice flavored things. Have you not heard of summer?

Friday started out with a bang with a looooong overdue trip to the dentist (bad, RACHEL!) and a trip to our financial planner. Do Fridays get any better than that? We also dropped off the pilot for maintenan¢e while we were up there. Dinner was chicken quesadillas (probably the healthiest thing we had all weekend).  Once the kiddos were town we watched the first part of A Year In Burgundy (which we probably won't finish because C's not feeling it and I'm not really feeling like turning on the DVD player) while drinking some Zinfandel (last we we heard of three people who really like it so we thought we'd give it a shot, but not really our thing) and salsa fiesta dip (very much our thing). We were in bed by 10:00 because GMac continues to wake up at 6:00 a.m.

Saturday morning was Starbucks and donuts and dropping C off at work.  I managed to get a small bike in. We also went to Joanns to pick out Monkey's Halloween costume.  You guys (won't) be shocked with her selection.

Once C was dropped off we headed back to Columbus to pick up the car.  Monkey loves mini-vans cars with sliding doors so we went to check them out while C and GMac picked up the car.

After naps we went to the mall to get the kids some pants and other fall clothes.  Shorts aren't going to be socially acceptable for much longer and I can't have others questioning my parenting. ;)  We grabbed some pizza for dinner because, remember, I'm in a cooking rut, and headed home for the evening.

GMac and Monkey got in their yoga and I made a trip to TJ Maxx and Pier 1 with mom (I realized I don't make it out of the house sans other than to go to work or go to the grocery).

I can't even remember what we did after the kids were in bed.  Probably watched football and read.

Sunday was church and grocery and lunch and naps followed by Schmidt's for Emily's birthday dinner.  Cream puffs for everyone!

Now if you'll excuse me I need to spend the rest of the week silently freaking out about the playoffs.

*Don't worry I will continue to feed and care for my children this week, but otherwise, you know where my mind is.
