Weekend Rewind: Zou Bisou Bisou

C and I had a lovely weekend at home. The first one in a month I think.  Here's how it went down.

Friday evening we grabbed some dinner from Max and Ermas. Someone was craving a cheeseburger and it wasn't the pregnancy woman.  Since we got it to go we didn't realize C's burger had only been cooked for roughly 30 seconds and was still moo-ing. So he didn't really get his burger after all.  But mine was delicious. Oh, and I also got him to lick my finger which, unknowingly to him, had mustard residue on it. I crack myself up. Good news is that C didn't get food poisoning from his undercooked beef.

We were also able to iChat with C's parents for a while and check in on the goings-on in Joplin. We spent the rest of the evening catching up on Mad Men (we were on season 4 and had been putting it off for literally months).

Saturday morning we slept in and went up to Easton to eat at Logans (a favorite) and start our Target registry.  It took me 4 attempts to log into the registry system (btw, the customer service folks were none too helpful)  before finally getting approved for a scanner wand thingy.  So off we went.  I chose the Target up at Easton because they have 8 rows of baby stuff to Lancaster's 2. Turns out we should have just stuck with Lancaster because the selection up there wasn't that great (which is why I don't like Target because one store never has what the other had).  Things we couldn't find: gender neutral Bumpo seat, white socks, 3-6 month onsies, boppy cover, baby first aid kit, more than one gender neutral hooded towel, and plain old receiving blankets.

After finishing up at Target we sat in the car for 20 minutes while we regrouped (we were both exhausted, I'm not sure Charles isn't pregnant too). At 2:40 we decided to head into Old Navy to check on their maternity section. Except they don't have one. So that was a bust.

Instead we went over to buy buy BABY - best.baby.store.ever - to set up a registry just to see what fun stuff and coupons came in their goody bags (we got a bottle and a pacifier!).  We also decided to register for a few of the more expensive items since they too send out a registry completion coupon after your shower so you can get 10% off of what you didn't get (hello, glider!).

Then it was off to the actual mall at Easton to pick up a shower gift for Kristen and some Yagoot for me (they didn't have chocolate for Charles) before hitting the road to head home and crash for a nap.

Once we were out of our Post-Nap Recovery (that's what we call the foggy time right after you wake up, it's just like Post-Op Recovery minus the pain) we went to my parents house for a cook out and to watch the Buckeyes choke against Kansas. And that's all I'm going to say about that.

Sunday was Palm Sunday, duh.  We lunched at Marie Scramblers. Man am I ready for Easter to be here because I would have preferred Panera or McDonalds. Oh yeah, and for Christ's resurrection too.

After lunch we went to Kohl's to check out their 2 racks of maternity clothes (apparently there are only a very select few of us who are pregnant in this world) and I was able to find a short sleeved work shirt.  We also stopped at Kroger from some brats for the panini press later that evening.

Then I took a two and a half hour nap. It was glorious. Just thinking about it makes me want another one.

After my nap (and a snack) we took a rather long walk - roughly 3 miles - through Lancaster (I only had to stop for a bathroom break once!) and returned home to watch the rest of Mad Men, eat dinner, and watch last week's episode of the new season of Mad Men. I've got three words for you: Zou Bisou Bisou.

I have no idea what they mean.
