I'm treating today as New Year's Day

We're back, the blogs back. I'm reinvigorated. Seriously. Today I woke up with a super great outlook on the year. I think this had something to do with it.

I've got grand plans for the day - which I'm treating as New Year's Day, yesterday was just a regular Sunday.  I'm going to watch the Rose Parade, make cookies (I'm cooking again!), do some laundry so we have clothes to wear to work this week, make sloppy joes (C really hasn't had regularly prepared meals - by me - in two months), and watch every show on HGTV (they have a great line up today).

So. Yeah. I'm excited about this year. Lots and lots of changes coming our way. The biggest being Mr. Fartlepants (don't worry we have real names picked out).  Speaking of the baby, now that the internet world knows I can talk about it on here!  However, I don't have much to say right now other than the fact that I'm doing my darnedest to eat because this has zapped my appetite at times.  But I should be turning that corner soon.

We had a great Christmas and New Year.  We spent Christmas in Pipestone, Minnesota (population 5,995 + 5 Olsons) not only celebrating Jesus' birth but also the birth and baptism of our new niece Clara. We spent New Years at my parents' with the Upps.  We played games and laughed until we cried (seriously).

So that's what's going on in the Elsea household.  I also made at least 3 new recipes to post in the upcoming weeks (plus one more I'm making today).

The Rose Parade is starting so I must get going. Gotta keep my eye out for the Lutheran Hour Float (#56 I believe).
