Weekend Rewind

I'm thinking about calling it quits with the Weekend Rewinds for a while.  At least until the pool closes, unless something spectacular or mentionable happens in the next two months.  All we are doing is going to the pool and church.

Case in point...

Friday afternoon we went to the pool.

Saturday morning we woke up, lounged around the apartment, then went to the pool.  Then I made hot dogs and brats on our panini press. (We can't wait to own a house with a yard that allows us to actually grill.)

Sunday morning we went to church, then lunched, then went to the pool.  See the trend here?

We did go to my parents for a cook out, then got some ice cream, before returning home to light some legal "fireworks". But more on that tomorrow.

Monday we decided to switch things up since it was the 4th of July and all, and walked in the parade.  We went to the Upps for a delicious cook out where Dad dominated a game of Four Square...

...and then headed to the fireworks.  This was the first time in 4 years that we were able to go to the local fireworks.  They were spectacular.  What was not spectacular was the 5 year old we spotted on on way in who decided to pee into a water bottle right up against the entrance fence.  Not against the car, so no one could see, but right against the chain link fence.  And to top it off, he looked a bit dehydrated.

All in all,  minus the 5 year old relieving himself in plain sight, it was a fantastic, relaxing weekend.  Which was mostly spent at the pool.
